============================= The sun was shining, in spite of the weather forecast. Doors opened for The Mothers' Union Garden Party at noon, and instantly the Vicarage Gardens began to be occupied by supporters. They enjoyed full waitress service, as home-made sandwiches (gracefully garenished) and cups of tea were brought to the tables.

As ever, there were items for sale, delicious home-made cakes and of course the Raffle! The small statue in the garden began to look puzzled, but rapidly the space filled up. There was a roaring trade in freshly concocted Pimms, to suplement the fare!

A most enjoyable event, with the Vicarage Garden crammed to capacity with happily chatting diners. Our thanks to the ladies of the Mothers' Union for providing such a splendid effort - and our thanks to all who supported. Funds raised go to the Mothers' Union projects.
